Author Victorica Monroe is a Black, DeafBlind, and Queer individual who serves as CEO of Monroe Pedagogy. A basketball fan, Victorica is a doctoral student and enjoys reading books, drawing, creating, traveling, and spending time in nature.

Illustrator Shawn Richardson was born in Arizona but grew up in Maryland. He has been passionately drawing since he was a little Deaf boy. After working with Preservation Magazine at the National Trust for Historic Preservation in Washington, D.C. for many years, Shawn relocated to Texas and now works on various projects. He is a renowned graphic designer and cartoonist whose works have appeared in various publications.
